SACA has developed a strict set of ethical guidelines that govern the actions of consultants in their relationships with students and families, schools and colleges, and with colleagues. These include a responsibility to understand each student’s special strengths, values and needs, while striving to include all family members in the educational planning process.

All members of SACA are expected to conduct their business ethically, in accordance with the law of the land and as per immigration laws and procedures of the subject country. It is mandatory for the members to follow the Code of Ethics in letter and spirit. Any violation will make the member liable for disciplinary action and termination of membership:

  1. Maintain high standards of professional conduct of business upholding this code at all times.

  2. Members of the Association shall not do work permits without having legal permission to do it.

  3. Establish appropriate resources and procedures required to provide professional services to students.

  4. Refrain from unjustified criticism of other educational consultants and institutions and seek to resolve any conflict of advice directly with the party concerned in a professional manner

  5.  Provide students and institutions with all the relevant information they need without withholding anything.

  6.  Advertise in an ethical manner by not engaging in false, misleading or damaging messages

  7.  Always act in the best interests of the student, while respecting institutional policies.

  8. SACA members must ensure that no direct/indirect act or statement on their part should affect the business or reputation of any other consultant.

  9. No member consultant will lure or incite the employee of any other consultant. NOC / concurrence is to be taken from the previous employer if the selected employee had been working for another consultancy irrespective of the position and status of the employee.

  10. SACA members will try to resolve all matters of dispute bilaterally failing which the matter will be referred to the committee whose decision will be final and binding.

  11. SACA members should display prominently the credentials of their organization i.e.

    • Company Registration
    • Any other certifications/credentials
    • Code of Ethics
    • Certification from SACA
